FileSide privacy policy
FileSide is a Chrome extension. It does not have an account or a server. It does not collect, sell, or send your files or personal data.
What stays on your computer
Folder and file access stays in Chrome on your computer, using the File System Access API. Folder names are stored in IndexedDB on your device so you can reopen a connected folder. You can remove a folder or files in FileSide at any time.
Drop onto a webpage
If you allow “drop onto the page,” FileSide may read the chosen file in the side panel and send it to a script on the current website so a file field can be filled. That happens only after you allow it, and only for files you select.
What FileSide does not do
- It does not use remote code.
- It does not show ads.
- It does not track you or collect analytics.
- It does not upload your files to a backend.
